Congratulations to All Who Participated in our Inaugural #gtchat!

Ireland, Finland, Germany, Australia & the U.S. came together on Friday, January 22, 2010 to launch two sessions of the new weekly global #gtchat on Twitter. To those who participated, I applaud you!

Topics Chosen for 01.22.10 #gtchat | Global Gifted Chat Launches Friday

Tomorrow marks the first global gifted chat on Twitter! Thank you again to all who have helped to spread the word. The votes are in and “Meeting the Social-Emotional Needs of Gifted Students” will be our topic for the 7 p.m./EST #gtchat . “Igniting Gifted Advocacy & Propelling Optimism in 2010″ will be the topic for the noon EST #gtchat. I hope you’ll join us for one or both.

For future reference, the #gtchat topic receiving the most votes will always be our 7:00 p.m./EST topic. The runner-up topic will be the subject of our noon/EST chat.

Global Gifted Chat Launches Friday on Twitter: Use Hashtag #gtchat

If you’re a parent of a gifted student, a gifted and talented (GT) educator, classroom teacher, administrator, psychologist and/or a gifted advocate, you will now have the opportunity to participate in an exciting new global gifted chat every Friday on Twitter!

Thanks to a savvy suggestion by P.J. Kaiser (@Doublelattemama) and enthusiastic support from dozens and dozens of Twitter experts and gifted advocates, including Joel McIntosh of @PrufrockPress and @cybraryman1,we’re going to dive into the realm of real-time, real-world advocacy every Friday at both noon and 7:00 p.m. (EST), using the hashtag #gtchat.
